How To Make an Avocado Mask

Ingredients

1/2 Avocado
1 Egg Yolk
1 tbsp. Honey
1 tsp. Lemon Juice (optional)

Directions

Place honey in a microwaveable bowl and microwave on high for 20-30 seconds.

Meanwhile, remove pit from avocado half and scoop avocado into a bowl. Using a fork, mash the avocado into a smooth consistency.

(If you plan on using the mask at a later time, or wish to save the rest of mixture, add the lemon juice now. This helps preserve the avocado and prevents it from turning brown.)

Add the egg yolk and warmed honey to the mashed avocado. Stir together until all the ingredients are mixed well together.

Apply to your face and leave on for twenty minutes. To remove the mask, use a warm, moist towel.

Health Benefits

Avocados are filled with antioxidants that help protect your skin from wrinkles and other signs of aging. The fatty acids in avocados help rejuvenate your skin by repairing damaged skin cells. This will leave your skin soft and hydrated, removing redness and irritation.

Egg yolk contains Vitamins A, B2, B3, and Zinc, all of which hydrate and repair skin cells. Zinc slows down the aging process and prevents acne.

In addition to hydrating your skin, honey helps unclog your pores. Naturally antibacterial, honey also  treats and prevents acne. Honey helps give your skin a natural glow with its antioxidants and moisturizing properties.

With this avocado mask, you will be left feeling refreshed and glowing!
